Notes from Our Director:

Our Summer Reading Club is still going strong! Have you signed up yet? It's not too late! All ages can participate. Register in person at the library or online. Whether you record your reading on paper or online, the more you read, the more chances you earn to win a $30 Amazon gift certificate. We'll draw 30 winners! Be sure to submit your reading/activity logs by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30 to be eligible for our prize drawings.

See below for a full list of our in-person activities for the month of August. And don't forget about our fun take & make craft and science kits for kids and teens! We offer a different craft kit every week and a different science kit every two weeks, all summer long! Learn more about our summer kits below.

We'll have special goody bags available to pick up at the library at the end of the program for all youth participants in our Summer Reading Club! Little ones, kids, and teens can pick up their goody bag from August 16 through September 4.

We also encourage people of all ages to participate in our Summer Reading Photo Challenge. Show us that you've been up to this summer -- send us photos of you making crafts, doing science experiments, reading, and more! Everyone who submits photos will be entered into a drawing for a $10 Amazon gift certificate. We'll also use the photos in a Summer Reading Finale Video that we'll post on our YouTube channel on September 3.

We hope you're having a great summer! Have questions about our Summer Reading Club? Email director@castletonpubliclibrary.org or call 518-732-0879.

Best,

Melissa Tacke
