Notes from Our Director:

As the air becomes crisp and daylight gets shorter, it's a great time to curl up with a book or a movie! It's also a good time to get together with others in the community -- to have fun, learn, create, or to volunteer to make a difference. This fall, we invite you to visit us to check out some of our materials, and to attend our programs. We are also seeking volunteers to help the library -- our Board of Trustees is recruiting new Trustees, the Friends of CPL are looking for support, and the library always welcomes volunteers who want to lend a hand. Send a message to director@castletonpubliclibrary.org or call 518-732-0879 for more information about getting involved.

The support the library receives from the Friends of CPL makes many of our programs and services possible. In addition to funding our summer reading program and our museum pass program, the Friends also coordinate family-friendly events, volunteer, and raise money to donate to the library for materials and equipment. If you are interested in learning more about the Friends, please consider attending the Friends of CPL meeting at the library on Wednesday, October 21, at 7:00 p.m. or send a message to friendsofcastletonlibrary@yahoo.com.

See below for a list of upcoming events at Castleton Public Library. Information about the library is also available 24 hours a day on our website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Do you have suggestions for programs, events, or services you'd like to see at the library? We would love to hear from you! Give us a call at 518-732-0879 or send an email to director@castletonpubiclibrary.org.

Best,

Melissa Tacke, Library Director
