Notes from Our Director:

Happy New Year! The dawning of a new year is a great time for a fresh start and to explore new opportunities. Want to learn a new game, get creative, or explore your family history? We have programs this month to help you attain your goals! See this month's program calendar below for more information.

Looking to join a book club in the new year? We have two monthly book clubs for adults at the library:
  • The After Dinner Book Club meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Books are available at the front desk starting 4 weeks prior to the discussion date. Check out what we'll be reading in 2020!
  • The Afternoon Book Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Books are available at the front desk starting 4 weeks prior to the discussion date. Check out what we'll be reading in 2020!

For those with young children, the new year is also a great time to explore our weekly early-learning programs for little ones:
  • Pajama Storytime, offered every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., is geared toward children from birth to age 8 to enjoy stories and make a simple craft. Little ones are welcome to wear their PJs or bring a stuffed animal friend!
  • Learn & Play Storytime, offered every Thursday at 10:30 a.m., helps little ones from birth to age 5 build their early literacy and motor skills through stories, rhymes, music, movement, and play. Bring your little one and help strengthen the skills they need to become ready to read -- and have fun too!
  • Early Literacy Playtime, offered every Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m., is designed for children ages birth to 5 to strengthen their early literacy skills while playing with caregivers & friends. A variety of age-appropriate toys are provided, including blocks, dolls, vehicles, puzzles, shape sorters, musical instruments, and dinosaurs!

We look forward to serving you in 2020!

Best,

Melissa Tacke
