Notes from Our Director: 

Spring is almost here! Stave away cabin fever during the next few weeks by visiting us to borrow a book or movie, stop in for our fun activities for kids, or attend one of our events for adults. We're here to serve you!

Our March events listed below also include activities held during the school break week the first week of April!

Did you know that the Friends of Castleton Public Library are currently seeking volunteers? Some of the Friends' current volunteer opportunities are: 
  • Baking for the Friends' June bake sales at Music at Schodack Town Park. 
  • Helping to create/update a Friends Facebook page, website, and database. 
  • Calling donors to support Friends events. 
  • Serving as a chair or co-chair to assist in planning Friends events. 
  • Assisting during Friends events.
  • Helping to plan during Friends meetings.
  • Interested in volunteering with the Friends of CPL? Call Friends of CPL President Theresa Scandurra at 518-466-8051 or email [email protected].

Pajama Storytime

Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.

Musicians & poets - come share your talents! If your instrument requires an amplifier, please bring one with you. All ages welcome to perform and to watch.

Kids Cook: Nutella Banana Rolls

Thursday, March 14, 4:00 p.m.

At this month's Kids Cook, learn to make a tasty snack made of a banana, a tortilla, and Nutella!
Cool Science: Sink or Float

Friday, March 15, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

Learn about density as we test whether items will sink or float in different types of water solutions!

Knock Hockey

Play tabletop hockey at the library with your friends or family!

Borrow a WiFi Hotspot

Did you know that we loan WiFi hotspots? They can be borrowed for 14 days -- all you need is your library card! Hotspots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can only be checked out and returned at CPL. Call 518-732-0879 or email [email protected] for more information. 
WiFi Inside & Outside Our Building

Our WiFi is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access the public WiFi on the front lawn, or alongside the building on Stimpson Avenue (the signal is strongest near the front of the building). Just look for the network called "Castleton Public Library." There's no password to connect!
