WiFi Outside Our Building

Our WiFi is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access the public WiFi at the picnic table on the front lawn, or alongside the building on Stimpson Avenue (the signal is strongest near the front of the building). Just look for the network called "Castleton Public Library." There's no password to connect! 
OverDrive (digital books, audiobooks, and magazines)

The Upper Hudson Library System hosts a great collection of ebooks and digital audiobooks, digital magazines, and streaming video on OverDrive. It's easier than ever to enjoy them on your desktop computer or mobile device. All you need is your library card. Learn more on the UHLS OverDrive Getting Started page.

Notes from Our Director: 

The library is still closed, but I'm checking in with you mid-month to share about a few new services we have to offer!

We're now offering access to Hoopla, with more than 750,000 free eBooks, digital audiobooks, comics, music albums, movies, and TV! Items borrowed through Hoopla can be borrowed by multiple people at once -- which means every item is instantly available on demand! You can borrow a maximum of 5 items every month. Download the Hoopla app or visit hoopladigital.com to get started. Need help? Email me at director@castletonpubliclibrary.org. 

We've also begun offering virtual classes and events for children and adults. Joelle, our Youth Services Librarian, has put together Virtual Storytimes (new storytime added every Wednesday) and has begun a Cool Science at Home series (new video added every 2-3 weeks). 

For grown-ups, we're offering live virtual events, including our first Virtual Book Club. We'll be discussing The Mountains Sing by Nguyen Phan Que Mai. The book is available on Hoopla as an eBook and as a digital audiobook. We hope you'll join us for the book discussion on Monday, May 4!
