Notes from Our Director:

Summer is just around the corner, and we're gearing up for our annual Summer Reading Club! We have many exciting programs to attend and activities to complete, keeping kids and teens engaged and active all summer long.

Over the summer, students risk losing some of the achievement gains they made during the previous school year. Participating in Summer Reading helps maintain reading skills and helps kids and teens stay motivated to learn. We also have an early literacy component of our program to engage babies, toddlers, and preschoolers and help get them ready to read.

And Summer Reading isn't just for kids. We're offering programs that are fun for the whole family, as well as programs for adults. By participating in the Summer Reading Club, children, teens, and adults can also enter to win a $25 Amazon gift certificate!

Summer fun at the library begins on Wednesday, June 26 from 11:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. when the library hosts our Summer Reading Kickoff. Come sign up for our Summer Reading Program and get a coupon for a free ice cream cone, courtesy of Stewart's Shops! Can't make it to the kickoff? Registration is open all summer long!

We hope you will join us for a summer full of fun and learning! See below for a full list of this month's classes, events, and take-home kits.

Best,

Melissa Tacke, Library Director
