Computer Help

By appointment, to fit your schedule! 

Learn the basics of computer use in a one-on-one setting. Call 518-732-0879 to register.
Learn & Play Storytime

Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.: 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29; 4/5. 

Children from birth to age 5 are invited to enjoy stories, rhymes, music, and movement while building their early literacy and motor skills! Join us for fun and learning every Thursday at 10:30. 
Family Movie Night - Coco

Friday, March 2, 6:00 p.m.

All ages are welcome at our monthly Family Movie Night! March’s movie is Disney Pixar's Coco (PG). 
After Dinner Book Club: I Contain Multitudes

Monday, March 5, 7:00 p.m.

Join us the first Monday of each month for a book discussion! This month's book is I Contain Multitudes: The Microbes Within Us and a Grander View of Life by Ed Yong. Books are available at the front desk. 
Pajama Storytime

Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.: 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27; 4/3.  

Feel free to wear your pajamas or bring a stuffed animal friend to this evening storytime!
Go Further with Food: Realistic Strategies to Maximize Health

Wednesday, March 7, 6:00 p.m.

This free class with nutritionist Christa Valentine will provide realistic tips on how to eat healthy and delicious foods, feel satisfied, and reach your nutrition goals! Please register; call 518-732-0879.  
Edible Art

Friday, March 9, 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Kids - create your own unique artistic sculptures and structures out of food and eat them when you're all finished!
Read to Lacey

Monday, March 12, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Children are invited to read aloud to Lacey, the therapy dog! Reading to an animal can improve children's reading and communication skills in a relaxed and friendly environment. 15-minute individual reading time with Lacey is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Beginner's Herbal Workshop

Monday, March 12, 6:00 p.m.

For adults. Make simple herbal products and learn how to identify useful herbs in your own backyard! Make a salve and lip balm to take home. Please register; call 518-732-0879. 
Recycled Art: CD Etching

Wednesday, March 14, 3:00-6:00 p.m.

Gardening to Attract Hummingbirds & Butterflies

Quilting For Beginners: Rail Fence Pattern

Saturday, March 24, 11:00 a.m.

For adults. Explore the fun of quilting with Pat Wood. Learn to make a rail fence quilt pattern, and make a pillow cover to take home! Please bring your sewing machine, scissors, sewing pins, and thread. 
Cool Science: Magic Milk

Tuesday, March 27, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Join us for some cool science. In this month's exploration, we will create color swirls with milk and learn about chemical reactions.
TED Talk Discussion Series: Death

Wednesday, March 28, 6:30 p.m.

Join us for a viewing and discussion of short TED Talks that share a common theme. March's theme is “Death.” TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to “ideas worth spreading.” Annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for up to 18 minutes on a variety of topics.

Lost in the Woods - Wilderness Survival Safety for Kids

Friday, April 6, 4:30 p.m.

Do you know what to do if you get lost in the woods? Learn from Schodack Island State Park staff how to stay safe, and make a survival pack to take home! Recommended for ages 8-12. Please register; call 518-732-0879.
