Notes from Our Director:

Happy New Year! The dawning of a new year is a great time for a fresh start and to explore new opportunities. Want to find ways to eat healthier, join a book club, or explore your family history? We have programs this month to help you attain your goals! See this month's program calendar for more information.

The new year also brings an exciting change to our library -- we no longer charge late fees! Starting January 1, when you check out items from Castleton Public Library (from our shelves, or requested for pickup at our library), you don’t need to worry about late fines on overdue books, DVDs, and other materials. Just make sure to return the items when you can. If you visit other libraries within Upper Hudson Library System, keep in mind that items you borrow at other libraries may be subject to overdue fines. Have questions about this new policy? Send me an email, give us a call at 518-732-0879, or stop in and ask!

We look forward to serving you in 2019!

Best,

Melissa Tacke
