As fall turns to winter and the year comes to a close, it's a great time to visit the library. Check out a book or a movie to enjoy on a cold winter evening, borrow cookbooks to get new ideas for holiday meals and treats, or come out and enjoy a library program! This month, we say goodbye to Mia Orobona, our Youth Services Librarian, who is moving on to a full-time job as a Teen Librarian in Connecticut. We thank Mia for her great work here and wish her the best of luck in her new job!
Finally, just in time for the holidays, the Friends of Castleton Public Library are selling tickets for their holiday raffle baskets! All proceeds benefit the library. Stop in any time through 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19 to buy your raffle tickets. The raffle drawing will take place on the evening of December 19.

Bring Your Own Book Club

Holiday Cookie Swap
Saturday, December 10, 11:00 a.m.
BAKE: Bake four dozen of your favorite holiday cookies.
BRING: Bring your cookies in one large container. Please do not separate into portions ahead of time. Bring empty containers to hold your new cookie collection.
PRINT: Please bring a copy of your recipe to share at the cookie swap.
SWAP: Each baker will get to take home some of each cookie recipe — we will divide the cookies equally among the bakers. Perfect for holiday entertaining!
