The Castleton Public Library will start work on an interior renovation beginning Saturday, September 13, 2014. The makeover will take 4-6 weeks to complete, bringing the public an exciting new space to access the library’s collection of books, DVDs, periodicals and E-Books, as well as computer resources and programming for all ages.
The library will be closed Saturday, September 13 at the start of the renovation and will reopen on Monday, September 15 with access to limited services. Patrons will be served from the former courtroom at Castleton Village Hall, conveniently located only a few steps from the library. Services will include: returning items from member libraries of the Upper Hudson Library System; WiFi; public access computers; reference services; interlibrary loan pickup; and a small collection of new items and periodicals for browsing. Beginning Monday, September 15, the library’s temporary hours are as follows:
Monday: 12-8 PM
Tuesday-Wednesday: 1-7 PM
Thursday: 10-6 PM
Friday: 11-5 PM
Saturday: 11-3 PM
