Notes from Our Director: 

Summer is still in full swing at CPL! Check out a full list of our remaining summer programs below -- there's a lot going on for kids, teens, and adults before school starts again. 

Are you participating in our Summer Reading Program? Be sure to turn in your reading record to us by 6:00 pm on Monday, August 26 to be eligible for our Summer Reading raffle prize drawings. We'll also give kids & teens a special surprise goody bag when they hand in their reading record from August 19 through September 7!

Computer Basics

Clown Storytime
 
Thursday, August 1, 10:30 a.m.

Let’s get happy and enjoy some giggles! Zippy the Clown will tell us funny jokes and show us how to make balloon animals. All ages welcome. 
Emoji Pillows
 
Thursday, August 1, 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Do you love emojis? Create and decorate your own special emoji pillow! No sewing is required. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
Early Literacy Playtime

Playing is learning! With a variety of age-appropriate toys and blocks provided, this drop-in playtime is designed for children ages birth to 5 to strengthen their early literacy skills while playing with caregivers & friends.

What does a duck do when he finds a bicycle in the barnyard? Join WMHT for the Duck on a Bike family program and watch the story to find out. We’ll make a duck hat and take home the storybook! Recommended for ages 2-8.

Are you a caregiver for someone with dementia? Drop in to talk with social workers from Eddy Alzheimer’s Services. Learn about the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Initiative, a program that provides free resources & support to caregivers.
Cool Science: Squishy Circuits

Are you interested in learning about how circuits work? Come to the library to create squishy dough circuits that can turn on lights, make machines move, make noises, and more! Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Smoothies are a great way to get fruits and protein into children’s diets. In this class with Honest Weight Food Co-op, children will be able to choose from delicious ingredients to create their own smoothie drink!

Cost: $8.00 per person 

Enjoy breakfast and help benefit the library! Meal includes 3 pancakes, 2 slices of bacon, and a beverage.
Giant Games on Main Street!

Come down for Main Street Day and enjoy games, music, food, and more. We’ll be on the grass at the intersection of Scott and Main – come play giant versions of some of our favorite games!
