The Friends of the Castleton Public Library provide the Library with museum passes for Albany County and Rensselaer County residents.  
  • Passes can be checked out for a 3-day period.
  • No renewals.
  • Passes are non-requestable and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Passes must be returned to Castleton Public Library. A $5.00 fee will be assessed for passes that are returned to another library. 

Albany Institute of History and Art

CPL has a pass for FREE admission for two adults and all children/teens under 18.

CPL has a pass for FREE general admission for up to 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 18. Children 3 and under are always free.

CPL has a pass for FREE admission for 1 adult and 1 child. Children under 12 months old admitted free.

CPL has a pass for FREE admission for the pass holder and their occupants in one vehicle at the time of entry for day use only. Not valid for special events.

Empire State Aerosciences Museum

CPL has a pass for FREE admission for one family/household.

The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute 

CPL has a pass for FREE general admission for 1 adult (children under the age of 18 are free).

Hancock Shaker Village

CPL has a pass for FREE admission to Hancock Shaker Village for two adults and two youths (13-17).  Children 12 and under are always free.

USS Slater (Destroyer Escort Historical Museum)

CPL has a pass for FREE admission for 2 adults and 2 children on tours during regular hours of operation. 
"During World War II, 563 Destroyer Escorts battled Nazi U-boats on the North Atlantic protecting convoys of men and material. In the Pacific they stood in line to defend naval task forces from Japanese submarines and Kamikaze air attacks. Today, only one of these ships remains afloat in the United States, the USS SLATER.
